Listen to me talk Art and Activism on Georgia Public Radio

Artist and editor Jason Rodriguez and I discuss the Rosarium comic book anthology, Artists Against Police Brutality (it starts at the 30:35 mark) on Georgia Public Broadcasting's 'On Second Thought', including how the project started, what the process entailed and what some of the goals were for the book in terms of the national conversation on race and police brutality.  LISTEN TO US HERE.

Come see a collaborative group exhibition by Pacific Northwest College of Art's (PNCA) first year MFA candidates at The Lodge Gallery at 1532 SW Morrison St., open weekdays from 9am - 5pm, from Dec. 3rd to Dec. 17th. The Lodge Gallery is an exhibition forum administered by Allied Works Architecture for the benefit of PNCA and the Portland art community.

Ninety-Three Percent Invisible is a dialogue concerning the experience of seeing. Seven first year MFA candidates in PNCA’s Visual Studies program have collaborated to create works based on concepts of perception and in/visibility. Illusion, restriction, repetition and omission challenge our perception and highlight ways of seeing the unseen through sculptural objects, two dimensional works, video and installation.

This exhibition was organized by second year MFA in Visual Studies candidate and Curatorial Fellow, Caitlin Rooney. Rooney is the current facilitator of exhibitions at the Lodge Gallery viaAllied Works Architecture building as well as the Graduate Gallery / Student Project space at PNCA, 511 NW Broadway.
